I asked Mary Aquino from the Greyhound Pets of America Charleston how the event went this past weekend at All is Well Summerville – and I was happy to hear that it went really well.
LCD: Did you have a good turn out? How was the event venue?
Mary: We did have a good turn out! The event this past weekend at All Is Well was a social gathering, because All is Well Summerville has such a nice area to let the dogs wander around off leash.
LCD: Tell me about your currently adoptable dogs, and the dogs you were featuring at the event.
Mary: Andy was the only available pup there – we had just received dogs the night before and they were “recouperating” at their new foster homes. Andy is *ready* for a forever home – sweet, young (2 yr old) boy who will make a great play-mate for an active family. He is adorable and very loving. He is *not* cat safe tho, so the family must be cat-free.
LCD: Anything you’d like to share with the dog owning community about upcoming events or current donation needs?
Mary: Fall/Winter months are ones that are often plagued by slow volunteerism due to the holidays; however, we still need volunteers to help at events and as foster families. It’s amazingly rewarding to see a greyhound come from their track life, transition to their foster homes and then ultimately get a loving forever home…a greyt way to “give back” in the upcoming holiday season.
The Greyhounds were also at the Cane Bay Fall Fest – check out this adorable video of them having a ball playing and running.
