Congrats to Jane Hirsch and to everyone who participated in The Trot for the Cure event on January 10th! Despite the freezing cold they had a good turn out and raised over $15,000.00, bringing their grand total to over $75,000.00 for canine cancer research! This was the 6th and LAST Trot for the Cure! From now on it will be Rafter’s Trot for Canine Cancer!
When Founder of the event, Jane Hirsch, was asked if she felt rewarded by Trot for the Cure’s success, there was no doubt that she was: “What makes me feel really good is that Dr. Northrup, the head oncologist at UGA Veterinary Hospital, spoke about how Trot funds have helped UGA’s overall program – they’ve been able to hire two new oncologists and participate in other additional research studies.”
