“We hope everyone will open their hearts and wallets and bid on the many silent auction items that will be available during the oyster roast,” said Stephen L. Jackson, President of the Frances R. The event will feature oysters and a cash bar plus desserts made by members of the Junior Service League. Pizza will be available for those people who don’t eat oysters. Oyster lovers are encouraged to bring their knives, gloves, and a philanthropic spirit.
“We appreciate the generous support the business community has shown as sponsors we’ve put this event together,” said Jackson. “We hope everyone in Dorchester County will buy tickets to the event and enjoy an evening of delicious oysters, music and some wonderful silent auction items.”
Tickets are $25 and on sale at the SPCA shelter located at 136 Four Paws Lane, at Westbury Veterinary Clinic at 1497 W. 5th North Street, and Patterson Printing at 402 Old Trolley Road in Summerville or from any SPCA board member.
