IOP Doggie Day at the Rec February 27th 9 am

Come out to the IOP Recreation Center for a fun-filled day of dog friendly events. Visit the rabies vaccination clinic and then get the chance to obtain your IOP dog license. Visit with local rescues and event sponsors. Stick around for the Dog Show at 10 am. Dogs competing in the dog show, must be pre-registered by Friday, February 26, 2010 before 5:00pm. Registration is CLOSED day of event CALL (843) 886-8294 to register or come by the Recreation Center.

NHPBR Meet & Greet February 27th 10 am-2 pm

New Hope Pit Bull Rescue Meet and Greet will be hosted at the Mt. Pleasant Petco. Go to www.nhpbr.org for more information.

Noble Ones Bully Breed Rescue Rummage Sale February 27th 8am-2pm

The Rescue Rummage Sale is at the Summerville location of All is Well, 440-A Old Trolley Road in Summerville. The rescue is currently accepting donations of gently used household items which can be dropped off at All is Well. The Rescue has had an overwhelming amount of donations from everything you can think of and no reasonable offer will be refused, we are only trying to raise money for the dogs!!

 NOBBR will also have some of our ADOPT-A-BULL dogs at the event. All proceeds from this event will benefit the dogs in our program and help to rescue and re-home abandoned, stray, and neglected bully breed dogs. NOBBR strives to empower the local community through education and our ultimate goal is to restore the integrity of these breeds which has been damaged by the media and irresponsible dog owners.

Greyhound Pets of America at Whole Foods in Mt. P February 27th 11am-2pm

Join the Greyhound Pets of America Charleston at the Whole Foods in Mount Pleasant for a Meet and Greet with the breed. Come  fall in love with these 100 mile per hour couch potatoes.

Paws Go Red February 28th 10 am

Pet Helpers, the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign, and MUSC Heart & Vascular Center team up at the James Island County Park for human and canine health, featuring heart health screenings for dogs and owners, pet and owner photos by Laura Olsen Imagery, a Go Red Dog Walk, Go Red dog costume competition, and more! All for a $1 entry fee into the park!
