No previous agility experience is necessary. Dogs must have completed an obedience class and be able to walk on loose leash, sit and down on command. This class will prepare you for agility obstacle training. You will learn to communicate more effectively with your dog by developing a set of cues and movements while maneuvering without the distraction of agility obstacles. We will focus on what happens on the ground since a significant portion of the time on an agility course is spent between the obstacles. Exercises that will be covered include: running with your dog on both sides of you; crosses; turns; sends; recalls; targeting.
