Founder of Grateful Goldens Rescue Dies

Kerry J. Mensching, 54, founder of Grateful Goldens Rescue of the Low Country, died on March 27, 2010. She is survived by her family and friends, including two beloved Golden Retrievers, Doodle and Dillon. For the last 17 years Kerry’s passion was rescuing Golden Retrievers. She was founder and President of Grateful Goldens Rescue. Donations in her memory may be made to Grateful Goldens Rescue (GGRLC), 1406 Waterlily Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. 

Thank you Kerry for your life of service. You were cherished by many, and you will be missed.

  2. I am SO sad to read of Kerry’s passing! We worked side by side at so many events. She was definitely a driving force in Golden Retriever rescue in the lowcountry. What a loss to the community!

  3. So sad, she did so much for the rescue, hers and others.

  4. No matter what I called her about, she never said no. She found a way to help. It was such a good feeling to be able to go to the shelter , see a golden and know that there was someone who I could call to take it. Sick, elderly, heartworm postive, it didn’t matter. Thanks Kerry.
